History
The mother tree of this variety originated from a farm in Bao Lam District, Lam Dong Province in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. The farm owner (P.V. Truong) propagated it for local planting material supply and applied for certified mother tree from the local agricultural authority in 2018. To be officially released by law, the Western Highlands Agroforestry Science Institute (WASI) established multilocal tested gardens, surveyed at available farms, conducted official evaluation, and applied for variety approval in 2021.
