History
Western Highlands Agroforestry Science Institute (WASI) made crosses from promising clones and tested their combination ability. The polyclonal seed gardens were established in 2003 and, from which, the synthetic variety has been multi-locally tested at many farms in the Western Highlands of Vietnam. The variety was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) for official release nationwide in 2015.
