History
The mother tree of this variety originated from a farm in Daklak Province in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. The Western Highlands Agroforestry Science Institute (WASI) implemented collection, preliminary comparision, multilocal trials, and application for official variety recognition. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) approved it as an official national variety in 2011.
