Additional agronomic information
Many agronomic traits of Sln.2R, including yield potential, resemble Sln.1R. However, these clones have a higher stability for A-grade beans than the Sln.1R. This variety is composed of a mixture of three clones—BR 9, 10, and 11—which are required to be planted in mixtures, because separate planting will reduce fruit sets. Yield of up to 1,500 kg/ha in wet and shaded conditions and up to 2,500 kg/ha when managed carefully, including supplementary irrigation and flowering management.

History
Sln.2R originates from seventeen superior plants which have yielded twice. The family's mean yield was identified from its initial twelve single seedling progenies (S.267 to S.278) that were then named 'Balehonnur Robustas' (BR). Base on the progenies' performance, plants BR 9, 10, and 11 were found to be superior in production, and as such, seed mixture of these 3 clones were issued for commercial cultivation as Sln.2R.
